Embroidery: the premium choice for corporate clothing
An embroidered logo radiates craftsmanship and, with good care, is highly wear-resistant. For polos, workwear, jackets and caps, embroidery is often the best choice.
What is embroidery?
With embroidery we stitch your design directly into the textile using fine threads. The threads become part of the fabric itself, and that is what gives embroidery its exceptional durability and premium appearance.
For embroidery we first create a digital embroidery file in which every stitch is programmed. We then translate this into the real thing. By default we embroider up to 6 thread colours per design; up to 15 colours is possible on request.
From design to finished product
We check every step: digitising the embroidery file, thread colour matching and quality control. That way you know in advance what you’ll get. We work with a palette of 433 thread colours, of which about 331 match a Pantone colour — enough to match almost any brand identity exactly.
When do you choose embroidery?
Embroidery is the best fit in the following cases.
Please note: for large areas, fine detail or photos, embroidery is less suitable — choose screen printing or transfers instead.
- You want a professional, premium appearance
- Your clothing is worn daily (workwear, polos)
- You want a logo or text, not a photorealistic design
- You want to add a logo to thicker fabrics such as fleece, softshell or jackets
- You need smaller runs (from 10 pieces) of staff clothing
What do we embroider?
Logos on chest & sleeve
Classic placement for polos, T-shirts and jackets. Standard size 8–10 cm wide on the chest, smaller on the sleeve.
Logos on the back
Larger embroidery on workwear, softshells and jackets. Up to roughly A4 size; above that size we recommend other techniques.
Caps and beanies
An embroidered front logo gives caps a professional finish. We embroider the front only — for logos on the side or back, choose transfer or printing.
Bags & accessories
Sports bags, aprons, work bags. Embroidered logos give a high-quality effect that printing cannot match.

Placement and sizes
These are our recommended dimensions per placement. The recommended size looks best and reads most clearly on the garment; the maximum size is the largest we advise.
| Placement | Recommended size | Maximum size |
|---|---|---|
| Chest left/right | 8 × 8 cm | 11 × 11 cm |
| Chest centre | 12 × 6 cm | 25 × 10 cm |
| Upper sleeve | 8 × 6 cm | 10 × 8 cm |
| Back | 25 × 20 cm | 30 × 35 cm |
Larger is possible, but we charge embroidery per stitch: the larger and denser, the more expensive. Large, densely filled areas are rarely worthwhile; for those we recommend (DTF) transfer or screen printing. Children's sleeves and caps are usually not embroiderable; for those we recommend DTF or transfer.
What do you need to order?
The design: Supply your logo as a vector (.AI .EPS .PDF .SVG). We turn this into a digital embroidery file. There is a one-off charge for digitising; after that you can keep using the same file for future orders.
The textile: Embroidery requires a textile that holds the stitches well. Heavy-quality polos, fleece, softshell and jackets work best. On thin fabrics (<150 g/m²) we recommend screen printing or transfers.
The quantities: Minimum 10 pieces. The embroidery file is a one-off setup cost and doesn't recur on repeat orders. We do charge a set-up fee for setting up the machine.
Pros and cons at a glance
Advantages
- Premium, professional appearance
- Exceptionally durable and wear-resistant
- Minimum 10 pieces per design
- Works well on thicker fabrics where printing is difficult
- Embroidery thread withstands industrial washing (60°C+); follow the textile's care instructions
Points to note
- On light, thin textiles (such as thin T-shirts) embroidery is less effective; there (DTF) transfer or screen printing works better
- Not suitable for fine detail or photography
- Standard up to 6 colours per design, up to 15 colours on request
- One-off cost for the embroidery file
- Higher unit price than screen printing on larger runs
Delivery time & price indication
Standard delivery time: 7–10 working days, depending on complexity. Rush delivery: possible by arrangement.
Price: depends on size, number of stitches (complexity) and run size. We can only give an exact price after a quote request with your logo included; we then calculate the embroidery area and the number of stitches. Digitising the embroidery file is a one-off setup cost.
